Back to School!!!

So, I got my acceptance letter from Azusa Pacific University yesterday. I will be starting my masters in nursing, school nurse credential, and pediatric nurse practitioner this summer. I truly never thought I would go back to school after I finished my bachelor's in October of last year. However, being in a school district...the way to more money is more education. The whole program will take me 3 years.

So, I spent the weekend in Ventura at the Point Huineme base. It was a fun time. It was hot and it was cold all that the same time...it was crazy. We watched Robert participate in different competitions and inspection. Robert's division wound up winning first place during their inspection.

I spent the morning with my mom at the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda. It was a great experience. I saw many interesting things and learned a lot about our late President Nixon. We saw the house he was born in, the limo he rode in, the helicopter he flew in, and his burial site next to his wife.

Hectic Week!

This week seemed to have something going on every single day. It definitely made the week fly, but now I am exhausted. I am ready for a nice relaxing weekend. I just want to do nothing!!! :-)

Happy Easter!!!

Today was a very nice Easter. We started the morning off with a brunch at our house with my family and Judy. We ate some yummy food and had good conversation. Then, Brayton had to go off to work and I hung out with my family for a bit. We then headed over to our friends house, Steve and Mary. We had a ton of great food and good company. Happy Easter to everyone!!!

A day in the kitchen!!!

Today, I spent about 7 hours in the kitchen making various things. I made 4 of my family's meat pies, which are fantastic. I also made the egg and bacon casserole and waffles for tomorrow's brunch with the family. Then I made sugar cookies and decorated all of them. I know how much I truly don't like the kitchen after today. :-) I have some pics of how everything turned out. Will post those later on tomorrow. Hope everyone has a Happy Easter!!!

A Restful Morning and Shopping Afternoon

This morning Rocky watched as I set up my new wide format printer and made labels for our storage boxes for the garage. He just sat right on the chair behind me and observed. He's such a good boy!!!

Then I decided to go shopping for awhile. I found a Cricut for scrapbooking that I have been wanting. I even found it a little bit updated version which was nice. Now, tonight we are off to my mom's for Palm Sunday dinner.

Organizing

Today, I spent the morning going through all of my scrapbook stuff. I put everything in a place in my new table and set up. It feels good to get everything set up so I know what I have and how much I have. I also installed adobe photo elements. It seems like a great program. I was able to do a lot of different things to my pictures. So far it's been a nice and relaxing Saturday!
