Christmas Decorating Time

Then we started to decorate the inside. So, we invited my family over to help us decorate the tree. I made my first home made lasagna for dinner (see pic. below) which turned out very yummy. And, it was really easy to make! Then we started putting out all of the Christmas decor. We bought a new 7 1/2 foot tree this year. I decorated it with a Martha Stewart collection called Twilight. It's purple and silver, it's beautiful. So, we are all set for our company to come and stay and for us to host our first Christmas Eve in our new home.

So, Christmas time is near and we have been busy getting our house all decorated. I didn't realize just how much Christmas stuff I have. It is crazy. So, first we started with decorating the outside of the house, which was a lot of fun. I love being able to have our own home and be able to put anything out. I don't have pictures of that right now, they are on my other camera. But, the house looks beautiful on the outside.

So, it's been a month....

So, during the past month we have had a few things going on. It was Thanksgiving during this time. We went to Arizona for the weekend and had a great family feast all together. It was also my grandmother's birthday that same day. Then on that Saturday it was my mother and Charles's Anniversary and Brayton's dads birthday. Just before we went away we started having new flooring put in the house. We were having hardwood floors and tile layed throughout the whole downstairs of our house. It took them a week to get the whole thing finished. So, we lived in a very messy house for awhile. Here is a picture of how the wood floor turned out.

Halloween Weekend!!!

So, we had more family come out from Arizona this weekend. On Friday night we took a walk around Redlands to see some of the homes on Cajon Street that were all decked out. These houses were unbelievable. One looked like a pirate ship, it was amazing. Then, Saturday, on Halloween we went over to my mom's house for a party and a night of trick or treating. There was a bunch of family and friends around. We went trick or treating up and down Olive Street. Brayton wore his Manny wig for awhile and Frosty wore his pumpkin costume for awhile. It was a fun night. Pictures to follow...

The past weekend...

This weekend we had family come out from Arizona. My aunt, uncle, cousin, their dog (Buster) and my grandparents all came. My aunt and her family stayed at my house. It was a meeting for the doggies of the house to learn and get to know one another. Buster and Frosty had a great time playing and running around the house. We were able to scare my aunt a few times with Brayton's newest Halloween decorations. It was hysterical. My grandparents are staying for the whole week through Halloween when my other aunt and her family come out to go trick or treating. A week full of family and fun.

So, today we all went to Greenspot Farm in Mentone to go pumpking picking. Frosty went along for his first pumpkin experience also. He walked around in the fields and also met some of the farm animals that were there. We all had a lot of fun.

Feeling Yucky!

Since Monday I have been feeling like crap. So, I went to the doctor yesterday and she said it could be either sinusitis or the regular flu. She put me on some antibiotics. I am actually starting to feel a bit better now. But, I still have this nasty cough and I feel it down in my chest. The doctor wrote me off work until Friday. So, I have sometime to rest up and feel better before going back to see all of the sick kiddos.

Garage Project

Yesterday Brayton and his dad spent about 7 hours working in the garage putting together our new cabinets and shelving. Believe it or not it still wasn't finished after all that time. Brayton still has a little more work to do on it. So far it looks really good. I am glad our garage will finally be organized and neat. Pictures to follow when the project is complete.

Frosty's First Bath

Frosty was playing around this morning in the grass. He rolled around in a few spots of mud and got nice and dirty. And of course with his lovely white hair it was very noticeable. So, today Frosty got his first bath. He was not overly excited with it. He wanted to jump out of the tub. Robert helped with the bath and the pictures.

"Save me, get me out of here!!!!"

After the bath, getting all dried off.

Charles's Birthday and Dodger Game

Yesterday was Charles's birthday so we all went to a Dodger game in L.A. We had a lot of fun. The game was in tribute to Tommy Losarda. He was at the game also to give a little speech before the game. We sat in this section called the all you can eat pavillion. We were able to eat as much as we wanted with Dodger dogs, nachos, popcorn, peanuts, soda, and water. It was great. Then toward the end of the night, the boys decided to play a little dress up. Brayton went and bought a Manny wig set and the monkey's hair for Robert. The pictures below show it all.

Frosty's Visit with his sister

Mary brought over her dog who happens to be Frosty's sister. Frosty was very excited when he saw her. They played and ran around outside on the front lawn. At that time his sister still did not have a name.

2nd vet visit

Frosty went to a new doctor this past Tuesday. He weight 11 1/2 pounds. Which means he's gained 1 1/2 pounds in a week. So, I'm guessing he's definitely going to be a big boy. The doctor also gave him a good bill of health. He goes back on the 15th for his second set of shots.

First Vet Visit

Frosty had his first visit at the vet today. He came out with a clean bill of health. He had his first shot...which he took like a trooper. Then he spent the night resting and then the rest of the night on his playdate with Gunny. He had a great time running around and chewing on things he is not supposed to be.

It's been forever....

I won't try to catch up since June. So, I will just start from the past couple of weeks. Last weekend I went apple picking for the first time. It was interesting. There were not many apples left. Then yesterday Brayton and I went to Robert's first flag football game. It was extremely hot. They won the game. Now today I am going to check out some boxer puppies with some friends. Here are some pics....

The past week...

There's been a lot going this week. Sunday night we had a dinner with Brayton's family for his brother's graduation. Then I continued reading my Twilight books. I was up to number 2 during this week. On Wednesday we went to Amanda's graduation and then we went out to eat at BJ's. That was a fun night. Thursday night it was off to school for me in Azusa. When I got home Brayton had invited Philip and Marie over with their 2 beagles, Brody and Chip. They were absolutely adorable. Friday night I went to the drive in movies with the Gutierrez's and my family. We saw Night in the Museum 2 and then the second movie was Wolfman or something like that. I skipped it and started reading my 3rd Twilight book. Saturday, Brayton and I went to a BBQ at our neighbor's house and met some new people. Later on that day Brayton took me to the nursery to look at plants. We found some rose bushes and ground cover and other things. I'm not much of a gardner. :-) Sunday was great. I did absolutely nothing. I finished the 3rd Twilight book that night. Today, I went and bought the fourth book and am totally loving it.

Twilight Again

Ok, so over the weekend I finished the first Twilight book, all 498 pages. I loved it. I can't believe I actually finished it. So, now I have moved onto the second book, New Moon. That one seems pretty interesting so far. I'll have to wait till November to see how the movie pans out.

Twilight

Ok, so I went and bought the first two books of Twilight. I am actually going to read them. I have started on the first book now and I am already on Chapter 7,which is a miracle for me. It is actually very good. It's easy to imagine what's going on when you see Robert Pattinson as the Edward character. I really want to hurry up to get to the second book because I want to know what is going to happen in the next movie which comes out in November.

Long Time, No Blog

So, I haven't written in awhile. I have had 2 weeks worth of class already. It is pretty interesting so far. There are only 8 people in the class. I am definitely not used to going to a Christian institution. They want us to pick someone from the bible and then write about their family. I honestly wouldn't have the first clue where to start. :-) So, this should be fun.

I have also been on this kick of watching Twilight. Not sure what it is....but I have watched it quite a bit over the last 2 weeks. I am almost tempted to read the book, even though I never read. :-)

This was a 3 day weekend and it was great. I wish I had some more of these. I went to 2 BBQ's at my moms with some other friends and learned a couple of new card games. It was a fun weekend. Today, I am doing nothing, just resting and probably start a little homework in a bit.

It's been awhile....

So, I haven't been on here in awhile. Monday night I held bunco at my house and I did a red, white, and blue theme for Memorial Day. I had made hamburger sliders and grilled chicken sliders and pasta salad. It turned out very nice and the food was yummy too.

Otherwise, I have just been working. It is killing me to have to be at work at 7am 3 days a week. I do not do good with getting up to early.

Now, I start with my masters program tomorrow night at Azusa Pacific University. So, I will have class now every Thursday night 5-7:30 in Azusa. It's going to be a very long day. This is just the beginning....lucky me. I just have to remember by the time these 3 years are done I will have my masters in nursing, school nurse credential and my pediatric nurse practitioner. We'll see how it goes tomorrow. I am used to doing classes online instead of physically sitting in a class listening to a teacher.

Back to School!!!

So, I got my acceptance letter from Azusa Pacific University yesterday. I will be starting my masters in nursing, school nurse credential, and pediatric nurse practitioner this summer. I truly never thought I would go back to school after I finished my bachelor's in October of last year. However, being in a school district...the way to more money is more education. The whole program will take me 3 years.

So, I spent the weekend in Ventura at the Point Huineme base. It was a fun time. It was hot and it was cold all that the same time...it was crazy. We watched Robert participate in different competitions and inspection. Robert's division wound up winning first place during their inspection.
